What MacEdition collects and why.

Information you send us

If you email us, we use what you send only to reply and to keep the correspondence we need.

Analytics on Mac desktop

We record page views from Mac desktop browsers on both macedition.info and blog.macedition.info. Our private report stores the page, time, browser session identifier, browser time zone and offset, referrer, campaign parameters, X click ID when present, country code when available, IP address and browser user agent. This helps us understand which articles are read and when. Records older than 90 days are removed on the next visit or report request. A session identifier and an X click ID may be held in your browser session storage.

X Pixel

On Mac desktop browsers, X Pixel ID ri44k loads from X and can collect page-view and device information under X’s own policies. We do not send completed-purchase or download conversions from this portal. The pixel does not load for identified mobile, iPad or non-Mac browsers. You can block third-party tracking in your browser. Our hosting provider also processes server logs for security and reliability. We do not sell personal information.
